Review: Nissley Vineyard & Winery
The stately Nissley Winery is located in Bainbridge, PA We visited on a busy day in early fall. The property was vast and pretty. The wine tasting area felt rather cavernous, but gave full view of the wine tanks. Nissley has a nice variety of wines available for tasting.
Personal Favorite: Apple Wine
I'm a big fan of apple wines especially in the fall! A close second would be their Fantasy which can be found in state stores.

Review: Wight & Meyer Vineyard & Winery
Located in rural Shepherdsville, Kentucky, this quaint winery sits just off the beaten path.
Pretty landscaping and a gorgeously treated concrete path leads to a clean and cute tasting room space, which expands to a covered patio overlooking the vineyard out back.
A notable southern, or shall I say midwestern charm...
made us feel right at home and comfortable discussing and asking questions during our tasting.
Tastings were a reasonable $5 and allowed us to keep our wine glass.
Wine selection included a nice variety for all palettes.
Personal Favorite: Cherry Cordial
UH-mazing quality of cherry that is a rare find!
Even more delightful paired with that Hershey Kiss!

Review: Blue Mountain Vineyards & Cellars
Located in New Tripoli, Pennsylvania, we visited the winery and an additional kiosk in the Exton Square Mall
during the colder months. The winery visit entailed a deal found on Groupon which paired the wine with chocolate.
A fantastic deal and even more fantastic combination! The chocolates were paired perfectly with the wines.
Seriously. Perfectly.
Personal Favorites: Bri's Blush & Victoria's Passion
So popular even, that I am pretty sure you can pick these up in the state stores!

Review: Moon Dancer Vineyards & Winery
It's a little out of the way, but well worth the drive to get to this beautiful setting at Moon Dancer Vineyards in Wrightsville, PA.
Wood fired pizza and entertainment are a feature at this picturesque winery.
They frequently feature musical guests and have plenty of room to accommodate groups.
Personal Favorite: Spiced Apple (Warmed!)
We visited in early fall and the spiced apple was amazing when heated up on those cooler nights.

Review: The Vineyard at Grandview
Beautiful location in Mount Joy, PA boasts a casual atmosphere. This family winery conveys the sense of warmth and friendliness. Hosts are informative and personable even when busy!
Personal Favorite: While the variety is definitely not lacking, let me just say "Blackjack Cherry". Splurge on this one and sip from a chocolate shot glass. You won't be sorry.

Why not check out that cute little winery when you come to the fork in the road? Traveling through Morgantown, PA every now and again brings with it the opportunity to stop at this quaint cottage like storefront and pick up a few bottles to add to the collection. The host is always willing to help guests explore their palettes and provide some background to the wines, of which there is a nice variety. $5 to taste across the board is a great way to find out what you like!
Personal Favorite: The fruit wines are 100% fresh, local fruit with no artificial flavors or colors added! Delish! .

Review: The Colony Meadery
In the mood to try something new and different? A trip to The Colony Meadery in Allentown, PA won't disappoint. Take a tour and try a flight of a variety of flavors of mead, a honey based wine. The tour provides a nice background to the company and an education about mead. The tasting room boasts that rustic-industrial vibe you would expect of the location in an old Mack truck factory. Flights are creatively served and themed around the idea of the bees that exist in colonies where honey is produced. Such clever branding!
Mead is definitely a unique taste and they have several great flavors.

Review: Long Trout Winery
Make it a day trip! While we experienced this winery in the winter season, I'm told it makes a great destination in the better weather for outdoor fun experiences. Wine tasting is fun from the minute you set foot into the tie dye clad tasting room. The wine menu is pretty vast and entertaining to boot with creative hippie themed names for every blend. Head on out to Auburn, PA for a blast from the past, a laugh and a glass and maybe even try out their disc golf course! This will definitely be one to revisit.

Review: Vynecrest Winery
This quaint tasting room and shop overlook the vineyard. There’s a great downstairs bar/seating area as well as outdoor patio seating that would be lovely to spend some time relaxing in nicer weather, but we visited in winter. The winter wines certainly were a highlight and we left with a bottle of both the Winter Red and Winter White because I just couldn’t pick one or the other! They offered a popcorn pairing with these winter wines and it was incredible!!! …so incredible that we then went out of our way to find the popcorn vendor to purchase this specialty to pair with our Vynecrest wines at home. (The popcorn place is called Cluster’s and it’s located in New Hope….highly recommend!)
Personal Favorite: Blueberry
I’m not usually big on the blueberry wines, while my husband is a big fan. This one actually swayed me! It had that fresh, crisp hint of blueberry that didn’t play on the palette as too sweet.
As mentioned above, the Winter Red and Winter White are excellent and delightful warmed.

Review: Knob Hall
Sitting at the corner of Chambersburg and Washington Streets you will find this satellite location for the Clear Spring, Maryland winery. The venue is light and open and carries an artsy, urban industrial vibe that’s really fun. When we visited some of the art displayed were some incredible works by artist Kerry Mott made completely from duct tape! The walls are covered in mural art and the natural light that pours in the tall windows makes the room as refreshing as it is interesting. The wines were a fun variety.

Review: Four Friends Winery
Just north of Rt 15 we found this winery making our way home from one of our favorite lodges in Wellsboro. Four Friends was packed the day we visited. With entertainment, a beautiful view of the vineyard and some excellent wine choices you can understand why people would flock there! They have several blends that we found to be really tasty. Names like “Sailaway” and “Beachbum” were appropriate for that light refreshing summer vacation kind of blend, but among my favorites (usually the reds) were “Jax Red” and “Red Sky”. A nice experience is always that much nicer when your host is able to share a story about how a certain blend got its name and even on this very busy day, we were able to have those little personal moments.

Review: Adam’s County Winery
When making your way around downtown Gettysburg I might suggest that you save the best for last. That’s what we unknowingly did as we parked just outside Adam’s County Winery and began meandering. Our last stop was this wine shop with a great menu and some fantastic wine enthusiast trinkets! They even had candles specifically scented to some of their wines and they smelled amazing! A combination of a warm, welcoming atmosphere; great gifts; nice hosts; and spectacular flavors with names that tie to the historic area make this a winning winery in my book.
Personal Favorite: Rusty’s Red or Rebel Red
